What i do is music, I sleep with music and bath in music because i play music 24/7 am always online downloading and searching for new music

Godfred Bortey popularly known as DeeJay Godday  got into disc joking way back when he was in higher primary school

This what Godday has to say when BlayLeak called him on phone: ''Because i was the entertainment prefect at primary 6 and do play music for my colleqeus every Friday when we are having games in school. We all loved music that time and i used to play the old R&B that was recorded way back on the cassette as non-stop.

Until i got 2 JSS 3 I was the school prefect but could not stop doing with music so i still have to be in it and even have to rush home when my dad has gone to work so i can carry his Sony system with my friends just to have jams in school and we do this in my class just to take money for the other mates to join and have fun.....Later I got a work at an old place at Nungua known as Gok's PUB which i was the assistant DJ over there.

With the love a had for Djing, I was then not taking money because i love the job than the money. I later moved to a ON THE RUN at Sakumono junction to acquired more skills with D.J Ice from London, who introduce me to PIONEER player because i was playing PCDJ all that time. He later gave me the chance to work at the Ravico Hotel in Nungua as a DJ due to my hard work.

Later, I was recognize and was called to handle Abrafi's pub for 3years. With God on my side, I met a man who asked me to play for him at the former Emperor Night club at Spintex while i was at Abrafi . Later got the chance to work at Tops and Tails and from there I went to the presenting school.

After, I had the chance to work with Meridian FM which i was working under DJ Teddy. I met Fiifi Sela of TH4kWAGESS fame who asked me to join him at Pluzz fm but was then working with Ball-J as his personal DJ so couldn't do much with Fiifi and

later had a call that Kwaw Kese wants to work with me and that was how come am with him now. People sometimes say am a floating Dj, but i always tell them hard work pay's.

I will always give thanks to God Almighty, D.J Victor,D.J Bobo at pool bar,D.J Dela not forgetting my real boss D.J PREACHER for he made me who I am today.

Am proud of the people I learn from because they've helped me to where i am now even to those i helped. I don't care if they are ungrateful to me because not everyone will say the truth and will not even mention names because .
I have helped some people which I do meet and smile because they act like they don't know me anymore but am thankful to the Almighty for how far he has brought me.

According to source, Godday is the the best Dj in Nungua and also one of the best DJ's in Accra
