Okyeame Kwame Hits Aphrodisiac On Friday, December 9 with ‘The Clinic’

Celebrated Hiplife artiste, Okyeame Kwame, real name Kwame Nsiah Apau,
is set to officially release his latest album, ‘The Clinic,’ which he launches on Friday at the Aphrodisiac Night Club in Accra.

The launch, expected to be graced by a host of celebrities, would see the multiple award-winning musician sign autographs for his fans, and also take photographs with any of them who so wishes. It is expected to start at 8 o’clock in the evening.

Among the artistes expected to attend the much-anticipated launch include the entire Lynx Family (Richie, Asem, Eazzy, Zigi, OJ Blaq), as well as every other artiste featured on ‘The Clinic’ album – such as Tinny, Irene Logan, Bradez, Efya, Bertha, Kesse, Roro, Soul Black,Racquel, Vera, Caroline and Wisdom.

The album, his third as a solo artiste, has 10 tracks recorded and mastered by some of the renowned sound engineers in the industry today, including Apietus, Zapp Mallet, Richie,Keywa, Jam Master J, Magnum, Roro, Dan Grahl and Ivory Coast’s Young Boss.

The tracks include ‘Faithful,’ ‘Sika,’ ‘Holla at You,’ ‘Kwame Se – Tinny Se,’ ‘Dont Judge Me,’ ‘One In A million,’ ‘Celebration,’ ‘Mafe Wo,’ ‘White Wedding,’ ‘Digital,’ ‘Woadaada Me,’ and ‘Mr. Verstaile.’

Although some of the songs – like Faithful, Sika and Holla At You – are currently receiving massive patronage across the country, the album launch would also provide the opportune platform form music-lovers to hear, for the very first time, the unheard ones.

In an interview with Okyeame Kwame, he said the event would also offer him with the opportunity to interact with his fans “and tell them that I’m really back again to do what they love about me.

“I’ve enjoyed the support of many Ghanaians, right from my days with Akyeame till now and I’m very grateful to that,” he said, adding that the launch would be used to direct traffic to the website www.mtnplay.com.gh “where you can get copies of the full album.

In all, Okyeame Kwame has seven albums; four with Akyeame and three as a solo artiste –‘Bosheba’ in 2004/5, ‘M’anwensem’ in 2007/8 and ‘The Clinic’ for 2011/12. He won theprestigious ‘Artiste of the Year 2009’ at the Ghana Movie Awards (GMA)
