Jackie Chan has signed on to a new English-language comedy.
The project, which Chan will produce and star in, comes from one of the actor's own ideas, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It will follow a detective (Chan) on the tail of an American gambler who is in deep debt to a Macau casino syndicate.
The film will shoot in a variety of locations including Hong Kong, Macau, Eastern Europe and mainland China.
Jay Longino will write the script, while the Beijing-based production company Talent International Media Group will co-finance the project.
Chan recently insisted that Chinese Zodiac will be his last action movie.
He also revealed last month that he has no plans for a Rush Hour movie any time soon.
