A Pregnant Virgin? Raped and pregnant, test says lady is still a virgin

Miss Chinelo
A teenage lady whose virginity was said to be intact after being tested positive of pregnancy is in a dilemma. Her story though far from the Biblical narrative of the Virgin Mary, strikes the mind on the possibility of remaining a virgin after she was raped by her own cousin, leaving her hymen intact but resulted in a pregnancy.
Chinelo, a fair-complexioned young lady, darting nervously between the floor and her hands narrated to Saturday Vanguard how her second cousin, Onyeka, put her in the family way. She had gone to her mother’s cousin’s house in Ihiala, Anambra state for her UME exams and had slept on the same bed with her second cousin, Onyeka.
According to her, she woke up late that fateful morning and found herself wet with semen. She asked Onyeka what it meant but he was said to have waved it off as nothing important. Chinelo, naive, accepted his excuse and moved on.
“I woke very late, very dizzy even his mother noticed and asked me whether I was feeling alright that morning. I told her I was okay but when I went to the bathroom, I discovered I was wet but did not feel any pain. I asked him but he smiled and waved it off. I did not disclose to anybody. I just cleaned up.
“I finished my mensuration five days before then. I also wrote my NECO there but left after a week I finished my exams. I went back to Onitsha, and on the 27th of July, I came to Lagos to my sister’s house. There I missed my period. I told her and she advised that we should wait for some days, saying it might be a shift,” Chinelo said.
Chinelo began to notice symptoms of pregnancy after a month. “A month later, I felt sick. My sister and I thought it was malaria. But what later convinced my sister was when I started vomitting. Our neighbour advised we should go to the hospital. My sister obliged and we went to General Hospital, Aguda. They even gave me money for the test.
“It was on Sunday, so the lab personnel did not come. We returned home and went back the following day. A test was conducted and we waited for about 30 minutes. When the result came out, they wrote ‘malaria not seen and pregnancy positive’.
“While waiting, my sister had also taken her sick daughter to see a doctor. I approached a woman sitting close to me to explain the result to me and she looked at me and asked whose result was it, saying it indicates pregnancy. When my sister came, I gave it to her and she asked how come I became pregnant.
“I told her I didn’t know that I didn’t have a boyfriend. She took me to their head nurse who also is a counsellor. She tried to convince me but I maintained my position knowing it was the truth. They decided to take a virginity test on me with the aid of a machine. The result came out and it was confirmed that I am still virgin,” she narrated.
Then the pressure came. The medical team and her sister probed further and Chinelo broke the ice saying: “I remembered the incident in my aunty’s house and I asked whether if someone was wet without making love could result into pregnancy? They asked me who was with me and I told them how I saw myself wet that morning when I woke up. I further told them how I drank the juice and slept off. I did not know what happened again.
The medical team and her sister concluded that pregnancy could occur without a penetrative intercourse since her virginity was intact. But Chinelo maintained she had no idea of how it happened as she suspected she must have been drugged with the juice she was served after dinner.
In a raspy voice pausing briefly and looking down again, she continued, “They asked me to call him (my cousin) and tell him the situation to know his reaction. I did and I threathend I was going to tell everybody what he did if he did not tell me the truth. He pleaded that he would call me back.

He immediately sent a text massage to me, recommending some drugs to terminate the pregancy, asking me to go get it and take it immediately. I called him back asking him if he did not know anything about why he sent such message to me? I later got to know that everybody in the family took him on and he confessed to have done it.
Since then, he stopped picking my calls until last two weeks when I called him accusing him of causing my problem.”
She stated that it was not the first time she would sleep on the same bed with Onyeka but insisted she did not know how he did it.
Chinelo has already gained admission to study Mass communication at Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State but she would have to suspend her quest for further studies pending the delivery of the baby sometime in March 2012, all things being equal.
She however explained that the incident was too painful to contemplate but she had forgiven him, and would relate with him well anytime they meet again. Her words: “Forgiveness is of the Lord. I have already forgiven him. Recently, some people were of the view that I should call him with another number and reign curses on him but I said no.
“So also, when some of my brothers decided to involve the police, my mother objected, saying they should allow the sleeping dog to lie. Even if I see him anywhere I will relate with him well, I have forgiven him,” she said as her words fall over each other in a bid to assemble.
The overwhelmed lady is currently taking refuge at the Tamar Rescue Foundation, Lagos, a non-governmental organisation that sensitizes young girls on the menace of sexual abuse and rape and offers advice to victims and mentors them through lectures, seminars and empowerment programs.
Mrs Ugo Onwuraokoye the founder of the foundation, an Igbo also from Anambra state, said: “In Igboland, such incest is termed as alu (abomination) and I understand the young man who did this is having problems with his business and his whole life, just because this is an abomination. This is incest and because it is an abomination. It has its own curses.”
She disclosed that Chinelo would have to be with her pending the delivery of the baby. “They brought her to me and I have to accept the challenge because that is what my ministry Tamar Rescue Foundation is all about. Her story will teach others some lessons because some don’t know that playing around even without penetration can result into pregnancy because sperm swims.
It is one of the miracles of becoming a pregnant virgin. Her admission is through but she cannot go back to school now untill she delivers the baby. She will be here with us and after the delivery, Tamar Rescue will adopt the baby and she will continue with her studies,” Onwuraokoye said.
According to her: “Everyday a child is being raped. Since I started I have only been able to go 80 schools to sensitize them. Like the case of this girl, it is as a result of sheer ignorance, she didnt know and it occured five days after her menstrual period.
Again, granted that it happened, there is a drug you can take immediately to prevent pregnance and of course sexual transmited diseases within 24 hours. If she had been aware, she would have talked to an adult and immediately, something would have been done would have been done to prevent this situation.
“Right now, she may not understand the full implication, she can’t go to school, her admission is out but she cant go until after she delivers the baby and other distractions that will follow it. By January 10, she will be six months gone in this pregnancy and yet she has not started anti-natal classes because there is no money, they just brought her to me.
And as it is, the parents are trying to be careful because in Igboland, this is an abomination. This is a shame. You see, everyday my heart aches because parents and children are acting in ignorance. I cannot allow my daughter to go to my sister’s house where I know my sister has a grown up son and sleep in the same room. I cant allow that because I am aware.”
She adviced that parents should always teach their children ways of avoiding this vices, adding that some parents want their daughters to look trendy allowing them to wear cloths that expose their bodies, noting that the heart evil men around is thinking a different thing; they are not looking at the young girl as a child but as a woman.
Doctors speak
It’s not possible!— Dr. Akeem Agboola of Life Fountain Clinic, Lagos
We only have one virgin Mary and I don’t know about any other. Girls come here with such claim and by the time you test them, you will discover that it is all lies. For me, until you confirm from the doctor who tested her virginity, I can’t believe the story. If she’s pregnant and claims to have been raped, it means that there was penetration.
I also don’t believe that pregnancy can occur by merely playing around the virgina without penetration because there must have been a penetration before an ejaculation and the sperm will locate where the cervica opening is and locate where the egg is before there can be pregnancy. In the absence of this, sombody claiming that sperm was splashed on the virgin or something, and resulted in preganacy, I won’t accept that.
Yes! It’s possible — Prof. Oladapo Ashiru of Medical Art Centre, Maryland, Lagos
It is possible. The virgina is not a big passage, it is like a hole and anything can go through, sperm can also go through. If she is at the peak, it is possible without penetration though it requires a little bit of penetration and that also can still leave the hymen unbroken. So, it is possible the hymen is still there.
Dr. Odiboh, an Obsterician said it is possible without penetration but advised that the days of the incident be confirmed and that the tests should conducted again.
One of the doctors at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital who prefered said: “You do not have to have sexual intercourse to be impregnated. Sperm can swim up the vagina if they are strong enough. The chances are, of course, much less likely but it’s still possible.
Any time sperm comes into contact with the vagina, there is a chance of pregnancy. However, the chance is obviously much larger when the semen is shot into the vagina, as opposed to just rubbed on the outside of it. The chances of a girl getting pregnant from a minimal amount of sperm touching the outside of her vagina is very slim.”
A further research on the issue revealed that one does not have to get involved into a sexual activity or intercourse, to be precise, for getting pregnant. All that is required is for impregnation is the sperms of a male partner that swim up to the vaginal opening and seek entry.
Most sperms are not capable of doing this, since they cannot survive in the atmospheric temperature. But some viable and strong ones do it. Such chances are, of course, slim, yet possible is everything. Also, if there is intentional sexual activity, but without penetration, then the released sperms can find some medium to reach up the female vagina and begin to act.
Since, signs of pregnancy are seen in later months after having the impregnating intercourse, there is no way of recognizing that a female has become pregnant without losing her virginity. It is simple. If the ejaculation of a female’s male sexually partner reaches her vagina, though there had no penetration taken place, then she can get pregnant and remain a virgin.
One more reason for appearance of cases of females getting pregnant, without losing their virginity, is the artificial insemination technique. Many females try artificial insemination when their sexual attempts to give birth to a baby are unsuccessful.
Some do it before even trying the intercourse because of fear and pain. If artificial insemination can resut in pregnancy, then it is possible that pregnancy can occur without penetration. Artificial insemination is nothing but injecting a sperm into a female vagina.
A sperm can live up to 24 hours after it is ejaculated out of the male body and before it begins its action of hatching the female egg. If, within these 24 hours it reaches inside a female vagina and begins its job, then there are quite favorable chances that she would get pregnant, though her virginity is intact. Thus, just being virgin does not guarantee one of a ‘no’ on pregnancy reports. But rather than that, follow the simple rule of never bringing the male genital organs near a female’s, if you really do not want to face an unwanted pregnancy, especially a virgin.

Abdulkareem Beats Up Singer Jaywon Juwonlo Into Coma

As you read this, gbon gbon gbon crooner, Jaywon was beaten up by his label mate, though senior, Edris Abdulkareem yesterday at satellite town carnival.

Though no one could actually tell what brought about the fight, but a lot of people who knows both parties say Edris has been beefing Jaywon because of his fast success.

He alongside his thugs beat up the young singer (jaywon), and since he couldn’t over power them, he was seriously injured. I hear he is presently hospitalized.

Ghana Movie Awards Top 5 Bloopers! - Ameyaw Debrah

Okay! So, following the feedback I received on Twitter and Facebook after my live broadcast of winners at the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards, and of course my own analysis of events, I have compiled 5 of the biggest bloopers for this year’s ceremony.

I have realized that one of the biggest problems that people had with the ceremony was the fact that movies like ‘Ties That Bind’ and ‘Somewhere in Africa’ which had not been commercially released or premiered in Ghana yet, were nominated for awards. However, according to the Ghana Movie Awards, movies are considered for nominations based on submission and not commercial releases. Once submitted, the movies are reviewed and shortlisted for the awards. After that, the jury members and/or the public vote to choose the winners.

Based on the above explanation, I want to believe that all 10 chapters of the Adams Apples movie series were submitted to the jury for review as well. If not, then I don’t see how it should be nominated for a category such as Best Story, since each chapter is incomplete, and the nomination was not for a specific chapter but the movie in entirety. With this out of the day, let’s count down the bloopers

5. Technical nightmares

If you can look beyond the errors in technicalities as to who or what qualifies to be nominated for a Ghana Movie Award, let’s fast forward to the awards night and the technical errors that marred the ceremony a bit. The night started with faulty microphones and every now and then, some presenters had to present awards that did not reflect the nomination category that were played for their presentations. I think this was unacceptable for an award that is in its second year. I also didn’t like the order the awards were presented; we knew the Best Picture of the year from when the first set of awards were presented. Isn’t that supposed to be the ultimate award? No wonder when, they hosts closed the show, people where wondering if that was all!

4. One for Tom, Dick and Harry!

I wasn’t happy when it was announced that this year, a new award category had been created for Best Cameo role in a movie. I mean seriously, who gets an award for making a short appearance in a movie and how do you even judge the best cameo appearance? To make matters worse I found out at the ceremony that indeed there was an award each for Best Cameo Actress and Best Cameo Actor.

3. Acting reincarnation?

One of the magic of this year’s Ghana Movie Award was how Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde and Kinberly Elise managed to grab a Best Actress in a Leading Role nomination ahead of Ghanaian actress, Ama K Abebrese for their roles in ‘Ties That Bind’. We thank goodness that all three of them weren’t nominated together for the award this year but I still don’t know why Ama wasn’t included in that category but strangely found her name under the ‘Best Discovery’ category. Mind you, she was nominated for Best Actress in the previous year for her role in ‘Sinking Sands’.

2. Double Whammy!

I know this title may suggest that Majid Michel didn’t deserve winning two awards on the night, but far from it. My contention is that fact that he won Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Actor in a Supporting Role, for his roles in ‘Somewhere in Africa’. In the movie Majid plays two different characters; one his usual self and the other a slightly darker Majid. But does this mean that each of them deserve separate nominations when indeed they are played by one actor? I can’t imagine Eddie Murphy winning an award for every character he played in Nutty Professor or Coming to America. He would be awarded for his performance and ability to play those roles as an actor. Surely we have some good actors in Ghana and it’s a shame that Ghana Movie Awards chose to award Majid and his shadow.

1. Hollywood takes over Ghana

Without a doubt the biggest question that everyone keeps asking me is how come, Hollywood actress Kimberly Elise won the Ghana Movie Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Coincidentally, I was the one that presented that award on the night. Somebody even copied a whole bio on the actress and pasted on my Facebook fan page to prove that Kimberly isn’t a Ghanaian. Well, I don’t have the answers and I won’t even pretend to have the answer. I will just leave the Ghana Movie Awards to explain it to everyone.

So there you have it, my top5 bloopers from the Ghana Movie Awards. Lets meet same time next year to see if the issues I pointed out would be repeated or whether we would have an improvement generally.

Court remands AMA toll collector for defilement

A 40-year-Toll Collector of Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA); Francis Nii Okai, on Thursday appeared before an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old pupil.

The victim who is the daughter of Nii Okai’s girlfriend is 24 weeks pregnant.

Charged with defilement, the court presided over by Mrs Justice Georgina Mensah-Datsa did not take Nii Okai’s plea. He was remanded into police custody to reappear on January 11, 2012. The prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sarah Acquah said the complainant is the victim’s aunt.

According to ASP Acquah the victim live at Bukom with her grandmother while the accused lives at Adedemkpo in Accra. ASP Acquah said the victim’s mother sends the victim to the accused for money. Sometime in October this year, the victim went to Nii Okai’s house to collect money for her mother.

When she got to the house the accused informed the victim that her mother had told him that she the (victim) had been defiled and he wanted to ascertain whether it is true or not.

Based on that assertion, ASP Acquah said the accused lured the victim into his room and had sex with her.

She said the complainant noticed that the victim was pregnant and when she was quizzed she mentioned Nii Okai as the one responsible. The prosecutor said the accused was arrested and handed over to the police at James Town and later transferred to the Domestic Violence and Victim’s Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service.

Mission accomplished on US trip - Prez Mills

Prez Mills
President John Evans Atta Mills has stated that he has no regrets for dashing to the United States on Christmas Eve to tie up important business assignments with investors.

According to him, he went to the United States solely for business and is not perturbed by the various interpretations given to his return trip to the US.

The President was heavily criticized by the opposition New Patriotic Party for his return trip to the US.

The NPP asked the President’s communications team to stop kidding with Ghanaians and tell the truth about the President’s trip stating that the “Christmas meeting with US investors sounds like a story from the North pole”.

The president had only returned to Ghana after several weeks on holidays and an official visit to Canada but Director of Communications at the Presidency Koku Anyidoho explained that a number of investors had lined up to meet him.

However, addressing pressmen at the Kotoka International Airport after his arrival from the United States on Saturday, President Mills stated that his return trip to US was for the benefit of Ghanaians.

“I had to take a very important decision. I had a few assignments to undertake in the US and I told myself, why don’t you take advantage of the holidays? Instead of spending your holidays in Ghana, you could kill so many birds with one stone; forgo part of your holidays, go to the US and make the necessary contacts, which I did,”

“In the US the 26th is not a holiday; it is rather the 25, so I used those days and which everybody will agree that the week beginning the Christmas is very slow in this country not like the US so I was able to accomplish all the assignments that I had in mind”.

He added that “so, I rather sacrificed part of my Christmas holidays to perform an important task on behalf of our dear nation and I have no regrets for so doing”.

Nigeria declares state of emergency

President Goodluck Jonathan
President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency on Saturday in parts of Nigeria plagued by a violent Islamist insurgency, and ordered shut the borders with Cameroon, Chad and Niger in the northeast.
Coming nearly a week after radical sect Boko Haram set off a series of bombs across Nigeria on Christmas Day, including one at a church that killed at least 37 people and wounded 57, Jonathan told state television the measures would aim to restore security in troubled parts of Nigeria's north.
"The temporary closure of our borders in the affected areas is only an interim measure designed to address the current security challenges and will be resumed as soon as normalcy is restored," he said.
He added that his chief of defence staff had been instructed to take other "appropriate" measures, including setting up a special counter-terrorism force.
The blasts have raised fears that Boko Haram, a movement styled on the Taliban and whose name means "Western education is forbidden," is trying to ignite sectarian strife in Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation and top oil producer.
Jonathan has been criticised by the opposition and Christian groups for what they said was a slow response to the bombings.
"The crisis has assumed a terrorist dimension," Jonathan said. "I therefore urge the political leadership (in northern local governments) to give maximum cooperation to ensure that the situation is brought under control."
He listed the northern local governments affected by the decree, including a part of Niger state near the capital Abuja, the northern half of the conflict-prone city of Jos, and parts of Yobe and Borno in the remote, semi-arid northeast.
The bombings by the northern-based movement have strained Nigeria's already fractious north-south divide.
Jonathan, a Christian from the south, upset many northerners by running for and winning the presidency in April, which in the eyes of many tore up a tacit deal to rotate the top job between a northerner and a southerner every two terms.
More than 500 people were killed in post-election violence in the north after Jonathan's victory, reflecting long-standing northern grievances about perceived alienation and exclusion by the central government from the fruits of national oil riches, concentrated in the south.

Ghanaian Actresses Are Hotter Than Nigerian Actresses

Nana Ama McBrown
Tonto Dike
When you compare Nigerian actresses with Ghanaian actresses, you will see that the Ghanaian Actresses Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, Juliet Ibrahim, Nana Ama McBrown and Jocelyn Dumas are hotter than Nigeria’s Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Rita Dominic, Mercy Johnson, Ini Edo and Tonto Dike on and off screen. They have more swagger and style, like Yvonne Nelson and Jocelyn Dumas who are already fast becoming style icons in Ghana and beyond. Yvonne Nelson in particular is just too hot from her head to her toes.

What makes the Ghollywood actresses hotter than Nollywood actresses? Their thrilling sex appeal and trendy style! Except for Mercy Johnson and the audacious Tonto Dike, the other Nollywood divas cannot compete with Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, Juliet Ibrahim, Ashanti . sexy symbol Nana-Ama-Mcbrown and Joselyn-Dumas.

It takes more than a pretty face to be hot! When you are hot, you are sexy and so the Ghanaian actresses are definitely sexier than Nigerian actresses, because they are more daring to go the extra mile in playing their roles in romantic and erotic scenes of movies. The Nigerian actresses seem to be inhibited by certain reasons restraining them from emphasizing their sexuality in movies. They are coy when it comes to romantic and erotic roles and you can see that they are slyly hesitant; but coquettish.

The African woman is naturally sexy and as they say hips don’t lie, African women from their lips to their hips are sex symbols from coast to coast. And they don’t need Victoria’s Secret brassieres or thongs to prove their sexuality. That is why African maidens from Ghana to Nigeria and down to Swaziland and South Africa were bold to walk and dance topless in traditional festivals before the hypocritical Western puritans and prudes introduced their moral and religious code of conduct to restrict the public display of the sexuality of African beauty. We can still see more of the sexuality of the African beauty in Ghanaian actresses and that has made them hotter than the majority of Nigerian actresses.

Government Error Could Give Buju Banton Big Break In Case

Incarcerated reggae superstar, Buju Banton maybe able to get a big break in his case following his Lawyers appeal in Georgia Appeal Court earlier this month.

According to new reports, Banton could walk free from his 10-year sentence on drug-related charges after his attorneys discovered that the U.S. government may have violated the Speedy Trial Act.
The act states that any defendant involved in a case must be brought to trial by the government within a 70 day window; a right guaranteed under the Sixth Amendment in the American constitution. Additionally, said right is generally afforded to defendants so that they not subjected to unreasonably lengthy incarceration prior to a fair trial.
Buju Banton, whose real name is Mark Myrie, was arrested in December of 2009, but only face trial in September 2010, almost 10 months after his arrest. Furthermore, Federal Judge James Moody pushed back the singer’s trial date several times before the commencement of the trial which ended in a mistrial.
Banton’s second trial took place in February 2011, four months after his first trial ended. He was then convicted on three charges and sentence to 10 years behind bars.

According to writer Jodee Brown of the Examiner.com, The U.S Supreme Court has developed a four part test considering length of the delay, the reasons for the delay, the defendant’s assertion of his right to a speedy trial, and the prejudice to the defendant in judging speedy trial claims. Any violations of the Speedy Trial Act could spark the dismissal of a criminal case given the state’s inability to bring the case to trial within a reasonable amount of time.
Buju Banton was recently moved from a Texas prison and is now housed in Miami, pending the outcome of the appeal in Georgia Appeal Court.

$165,000 Parking Charges on Prez Jet In US

The Ghana presidential jet “Falcon 900EX Easy” during the 28-days holiday stay by the president of Ghana John Evan Atta Mills, at New York and other parts in USA accrued $165,420 charges for airport or aerodrome facilities and air route navigation facilities within the period of Nov & Dec 2011.
It’s a known fact that the charges for landing an aircraft other than airship at Government Airports/Aerodromes, parking and housing charges in USA is quite exorbitant. Many people have questioned the sense in flying a presidential jet to America, flying around and parking for over 28 days for annual holidays other than a US government invites who could receive some VIP discount for foreign government officials. One could have thought an annual holiday without a large family should have equally patronised any reputable commercial flights for such occasion.

According to the Global Business Travel Journal “it is unfathomable for a president from a third world country (Ghana) which depends largely on donors for budget support to embark on annual holidays to America for such period using the country’s Presidential Jet, knowing that the parking charges for each 24 hours period or part thereof shall be 35% of the landing charges when parking period exceeds 6 hours”.
Though, others could also argue from many angles that the Falcon 900EX which flies 4,550 nautical miles nonstop, as the fastest in its class has all the necessary features for the comfortability and security of president. With its classic trijet engine design, the 900EX can use small airports at high altitudes, even on hot days. It’s the most versatile aircraft and also one of the safest given its ability to fly slower on approach than its twinjet competitors.

Falcon 900EX
It is also unquestionable that the state-of-the-art flight deck of Falcon 900EX offers pilots an uncompromising capability to monitor and control the progression of the flight while the spacious, custom-crafted cabin offers passengers the intransigent capability to perform at peak levels while en route.
But since all airport flight charges depend on the Maximum Land Weight (MLW) and Maximum Take-Off

Weight (MTOW), one should taken into consideration the length of stay in USA and the weight of Ghana Presidential Jet with the Take-Off Weight of 49,000bl (22,226Kg) and the Landing Weight of 44,500lb (20,185Kg), not forgetting the security charges, parking and housing charges.
Recently, Airports in America have manipulated landing fees to encourage airlines to fly fewer planes or schedule landings for off-peak times or even less-busy airports, hence, the need for considering such charge when flying to US airports for long stay.

Mallam Threatens To Kill 8 MPs For Failing To Honour Promises To Him

A spiritualist at Sefwi Anwianso in the Western Region, Mallam Katanka has threatened to kill eight current sitting Members of Parliament (MPs) for failing to honour their promises to him.
According to Mallam Katanka, the said legislators sought his assistance during the 2008 parliamentary elections to win power to represent constituents in their respective constituencies.
He noted that in line with the conditions to spiritually assist the said legislators, it was agreed that after winning their bids, the MPs would show appreciation by presenting an assortment of gifts including money.
The sensational fetish priest said though the said MPs were successful in their contests, they had failed to honour their promises three years after they assumed office.

Speaking to Ash Fm, a Kumasi-based radio station, on Wednesday, Mallam Katanka gave a two-week ultimatum to the said honourable members to honour their part of the agreement or he would strike them dead.

When asked to disclose the identities of the said MPs, the traditional worshipper refused, stressing that he would do so if the MPs declined to comply with the two-week ultimatum.
He however stated that the said MPs were from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and that the NDC MPs were more than that of the NPP.
Dilating further, Mallam Katanka revealed that most of the said MPs who sought his spiritual intervention were from the Western Region, whereas the others hailed from Brong Ahafo.

The dreaded fetish priest also declined to disclose the kind of gift and amount of money the said MPs agreed to give him.
He said he would make full disclosure of what the MPs were supposed to give him after striking them dead for being disobedient.
Mallam Katanka pointed out that his coming to the media with the issue was not geared towards getting cheap popularity but to give a clear signal to the MPs involved so that they could be reminded of their responsibilities to him.

Again he stated that he did not want a situation whereby the public would accuse him of being wicked when the said MPs die, hence his decision to bring the matter into the public domain.
He said, as a traditional worshipper, he was not like God who forgives people that violate promises made to Him.

Musician Shows Pussy on stage

Blay Leak
Just when we thought we had finished compiling our wildest celebrity photographs for the year 2011, a new picture that reached our editorial desk during the Christmas break can potentially top our list.

The latest entrant shows the naked hairy vag*na of a very well-known female musician while she was performing on stage at the Accra International Conference Centre during the Christmas season.

The said female musician, whose name we would withhold for now, had mounted the stage dressed to kill, in a very sexy evening wear, with entirely no panties beneath. No panties means no panties, underwear, no slacks, no beads, just her naked hairy vag*na.

During her performance, she positioned herself in such a way that our cameras captured her sex organ which we believe might also have been seen by a good section of the audience, especially those on the front raw.

It was quite sizeable, chubby, dark and hairy but appealing.

The photograph has sparked a fiery debate on whether or not NEWS-ONE should publish it uncensored or slightly blurred. Persons who have seen the picture have so far expressed disappointment that a Ghanaian female musician would have the guts to mount the stage at the Accra International Conference Centre to perform, wearing no panties at all.

This is the second time our cameras have captured a top Ghanaian female celebrity at a public event without her pants on. The first was at a press conference of an all-female concert that was held a few months back and one of the artistes at the conference sat in such a way that exposed her sex organ, that was not in pants in any way.

What is not yet certain is whether the musician deliberately used her naked sex organ as part of her stage craft or she was doing something else back stage which could not give her enough time to put on her panties.

In the meantime, she goes by a single first name. It is not an indigenous Ghanaian name. She is a talented professional musician, composer, choreographer, actress, writer and professional artist. she is blessed with multiple musical and artistic abilities and still developing, managing and increasing her skill set with maximum focus and love for making quality and real music.

Funny face revels Nadia kiss; refuses to take his bath

Funny Face
Stand –up comedian Funny face is refusing to take his bath several hours after actress Nadia Buari planted a kiss on his cheek.

He would not risk losing the splendor; the savor; the kiss of life from a girl he has long had a crush on and a girl he would love to marry next year; a bath too soon would wash away his lifelong experience.

Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng better known as Funny Face could not hide his admiration and lust for the queen of the movie screen in Ghana.

“Eii Nadia kissed me oo. It’s a sweet feeling,  Nadia Buari I am telling, you straight up, I love you; I have a crush on you and you made my dream come true. You kissed me yesterday Nadia Buari and I will forever cherish it.”

“She kissed my cheek…she kissed my lip,” he stated, almost to a point of salivation and tingling in parts of his body he would not admit on air.
The everlasting kiss was during his performance at the 1,013 laughs.

He has vowed not to take his bath at least for a while longer. And oo Funny Face will also be getting married in 2012. Guess who is on his radar?

Fuel prices up 20 percent beginning Today

Prices of petroleum products will go up between 15 and 20 percent from this morning.

The increases according to the National Petroleum Authority are influenced by the government’s decision to withdraw subsidies on the products from next year.

Fuel prices at the pumps are based on an initial world market price of $92 per barrel. The increase is therefore expected to reflect the current world price of about $107 dollars.

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority, Mr. Alex Mould told Joy News the review which the government has asked that it be passed to the consumer, has been long overdue.

“As you are aware crude oil prices when the last price build up was done was on the 4th of January 2011 and for one year, the government has been able to keep stable the price at the pump and I believe it is in that respect that the review be done and the price passed on to the consumer for full cost recovery.”

Mr. Mould added that the authority has published a comprehensive list of new transport fares to prevent the usual confrontations between transport operators and passengers when revised fuel prices are announced.

Government projects it will spend nearly GH¢600 million on subsidizing petroleum products for this year alone. Though there is a hedging policy to cushion consumers, it only caters for 50 percent of the country’s monthly consumption.

Per the NPA’s calculations, the maximum petroleum products pump prices are as follows and gives the oil marketing companies room to sell below the quoted prices depending on their marketing strategies.

Petrol GHp175.48 per litre, up 15%
Diesel GHp177.09 per litre, up 15%
Kerosene GHp91.00 per litre (unaffected)
LPG GHp136.19 per kg, up 30% (A 12.5kg cylinder will now sell at GHS17.02 and 14.5kg cylinder will sell at GHS19.75)
Premix GHp54.27 per litre (unaffected)
RFO GHp83.93 per litre (unaffected).

Your Expectation Anything for This Christmas?

Christmas is that holiday season when millions of people around the world give or expect gifts from loved ones. See what Showbiz found out from a few.

Yvonne Nelson – I think I have all I need for Christmas and so I am not expecting anything from anyone. All the same I wish every Ghanaian a merry Xmas and a happy new year.

Roselyn Ngissah – I want a house at Trassaco from any government minister. This is not to say I’m dating one but any minister who loves my movies and would like to offer me a house at Trassaco is welcome. I wish every Ghanaian a merry Christmas.

DSP Kofi Sarpong – If someone wants to give me something for Christmas, I’d prefer a boat from the Vice President so that I go cruising with my family. I want this present from the Vice President because I like him so much and I’ll be happy to receive a present from him.

Nana Ama McBrown – I don’t really have anything in mind for Christmas but whoever has anything for me should bring it. If someone should give you something; they should give it to you out of love and from their heart.

Appietus – I would love to get an airplane. I mean a private jet and I expect it from God. He should surprise me with a huge amount of money to be able to buy the plane.

Kwabena Kwabena – This is interesting but I just want life. I believe giving out gifts should be from the heart so I will welcome anything at all. I am the type who appreciates anything so things like toffees, chocolates or biscuits are welcome.

Prince David Osei – I would be very grateful if anyone can provide me the 2011 Dodge Charger. That is my dream car.

Asem – I have just finished setting up my studio and the two things that I am yet to buy are a drum kit and Canon 5D camera. I would be grateful if anyone can provide me with these equipment.
